The Story Behind A Our Movement

The founder of BFIT, Lavoya Kerr had a vision that would change the lives of countless teenagers. Lavoya, had spent most of his life working with the youth, as well has had extensive knowledge in the construction industry. He knew firsthand the value of skilled trades. However, he also noticed a growing gap in the number of young people interested in pursuing careers in construction. Determined to make a difference, he embarked on a journey to create a nonprofit organization aimed at helping teenagers learn how to build houses.
